I realize that these two subjects don't exactly belong in the same post, but I'm too lazy to write two separate ones.
Mark Chen, who is now Vicky's best friend, was an epic and brilliant production? character?
We all love Vicky, and thus decided to prank her on April Fool's Day. I'd have to admit, it was pretty hilarious when she freaked out and frantically called 5 people trying to understand the present situation. It was even funnier when it took her 20 minutes to realize that it was a prank, Mark Chen isn't real, and that the target of the prank was her and only her. CCF and others put way too much time into making MC real. I think during this elaborate preparation we all became a bit delusional at some point. Apparently Vicky still feels that he is real and becomes happy when MC replies her wall posts :P
Now this is when I am transitioning to Easter. This abrupt and illogical jump would not be approved my English professors and TAs.
Easter Sunday! Went to Trinity at 7:45 am to avoid the Easter-only church goers. I don't think I've ever been to church with such a large number of people! Pastor Greg Thompson was amazing. During the service I felt God's presence and that he was speaking to me. It's so blessed to be able to physically and emotionally sense God's presence. After service I was reminded by b.chiang that when talking about Christ's resurrection, the linking verb is "is". How amazing is that! (No, I am not being a grammar geek) Christ IS Risen at this moment and point in time and will continue on throughout eternity! This is everlasting HOPE!
At the Beaver Creek picnic that followed the service, I continued to feel God's presence. There was so much and love and care. The food was amazing too! I don't think I've ever experienced this much love from people outside my family. I was completely blown away at how strong friendships can be. When God works, anything is possible.
