I've been sitting in the same cornered desk for almost 8 hours now. Thought I might blog as a break before I dive back into work. The notes on the desk are quite amusing.
- Favorite animal? camel, donkey, monkey, hokie
- Which class are you studying for? ECON 201, PLCP, PHYS 142E, CHEM 141, PSYC 240, Culinary School, Plant Bio 3180: Don't take it!, ENLT
- Hours, Clemons: 12 (Dec. 6)
-You can do it! Go for it! Some other person: yes!!!
and then they are just some random illustrations of chemical compounds.

4th Year Send-Off
As of right now I'm supposed to be working on my English essay, compiling my Chinese portfolio, and catching up with history reading. But I feel like I need to blog this while it's still fresh in my memory.
The 4th year send-off yesterday was a lot less emotional than I had predicted. It's not a bad thing because we created more memorable memories for all of us, especially Vicky in her video recording. Her "guns" were quite impressive.
Even though it was bitter-sweet, the see-saw between these two adjectives tilted slighted towards sweet. Laughter filled the room and it's laughter that you can pull out of a file cabinet whenever needed and listen to again.
The advice the 4th years passed on was great, despite the fact they contradicted each other. I really do wish each and every one of them the best and I know God will be watching over and guiding them. Just hope they'd visit.
*I was privileged to taste the smores-bars.

My Friends and my Foot
Such an odd combination isn't it?
I wasn't exactly planning for an epic/horrifying bonding moment today. Instead, I was expecting a fulfillment due to church and an exceptionally productive day at Clark (the former occurred: God is amazing, even when pruning. the latter seems like it's about to plunder) I was not at all expecting my foot to be almost-entirely-eternally trapped in my boot, begging to the see the light of day. Nonetheless, it occurred: my boot ate my foot.
I had figured that the stuck zipper would not create much distress because I had ultimate belief that Christine and Annie knew they ways around zippers. However, the entire chaotic/amusing moment was not due to their lack of ability, but rather the stubborn leather that refused to budge, move, and crawl out of the contraption. We pulled, cut, oiled the metal beast and yet made no progress. Thus, Christine *light-bulb moment* decided we should force my foot out of the boot before we attempted to fix the zipper. She pulled the shoe one way and I pulled my leg the other. (Thanks to this moment, most of Lambeth 466-4 will know what I sound like when I give birth) Unfortunately, it didn't work. Mel contemplated the idea of pouring oil down into the boot so my foot would slide out. Thank goodness that plan wasn't used.
So as I was worrying over whether or not my foot will ever重见天日,Christine borrows a pair of needlenose pliers and together will Mel released my foot from it's dark cave. At this moment I was praying, hoping my foot will come out of an undamaged boot and it did :)
It's amazing how friends can bond over a foot, my foot in particular. It's also quite amazing that this problem was solved by English and History majors. I guess we will have careers after all, despite what some people may think ;)

Mark Chen and Easter
I realize that these two subjects don't exactly belong in the same post, but I'm too lazy to write two separate ones.
Mark Chen, who is now Vicky's best friend, was an epic and brilliant production? character?
We all love Vicky, and thus decided to prank her on April Fool's Day. I'd have to admit, it was pretty hilarious when she freaked out and frantically called 5 people trying to understand the present situation. It was even funnier when it took her 20 minutes to realize that it was a prank, Mark Chen isn't real, and that the target of the prank was her and only her. CCF and others put way too much time into making MC real. I think during this elaborate preparation we all became a bit delusional at some point. Apparently Vicky still feels that he is real and becomes happy when MC replies her wall posts :P
Now this is when I am transitioning to Easter. This abrupt and illogical jump would not be approved my English professors and TAs.
Easter Sunday! Went to Trinity at 7:45 am to avoid the Easter-only church goers. I don't think I've ever been to church with such a large number of people! Pastor Greg Thompson was amazing. During the service I felt God's presence and that he was speaking to me. It's so blessed to be able to physically and emotionally sense God's presence. After service I was reminded by b.chiang that when talking about Christ's resurrection, the linking verb is "is". How amazing is that! (No, I am not being a grammar geek) Christ IS Risen at this moment and point in time and will continue on throughout eternity! This is everlasting HOPE!
At the Beaver Creek picnic that followed the service, I continued to feel God's presence. There was so much and love and care. The food was amazing too! I don't think I've ever experienced this much love from people outside my family. I was completely blown away at how strong friendships can be. When God works, anything is possible.

Driving IV
After watching the basketball game Monday night, David dropped me, Yun, and Brian off. After he dropped Brian off he made me park. And yes, I parked inside the lines next to one other car. But I didn't have the guts to back out of the spot.
Driving III
So last Friday after large group and dinner, Brian let me drive from Barracks to Lambeth. Boy, was that scary. Not only was it pitch black, but I also went40 mph. Ok, I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but my heart was about to pound out of my chest. I was screaming while Brian and Melissa tried to calm me down.
In the end it was all good :)

Driving II
Last Saturday (the day of our DC trip yay) I drove David's car from Hereford to Old Dorms. He wouldn't let me drive to Lambeth. Took up two spots while attempting to park. No one died.
